We use our arms and hands for just about everything, so a painful shoulder can really affect your everyday life as well as sports and hobbies.

The shoulder is one of the most complex joints in the body. We’ll examine your neck, your posture, the strength of the muscles around your shoulder and the way in which your shoulder moves, as well as using specialised tests to diagnose your condition.

The most common shoulder injuries that we treat at our clinic include:

  • Muscle tear (often the rotator cuff muscles)
  • Frozen shoulder
  • Sports injuries
  • Shoulder impingement
  • Excessive shoulder joint movement (instability)
  • Osteoarthritis of the shoulder or of the joint between the collarbone and shoulder blade (acromioclavicular joint).
  • Stiffness and/or weakness after fracture healing
  • Post-surgical rehabilitation
  • Referred pain – your shoulder can become painful when there is actually a problem in your neck

How we can help

Physios help lots of people with shoulder problems get back to their usual activities without pain or restricted movement using a range of treatments like taping, massage, joint mobilisations, ultrasound and exercises that are specifically tailored for each person.
